Maintenance measures after shutdown of induction melting furnace.

During normal production, the melting furnace requires intermittent shutdowns and maintenance due to the production cycle. After the phosphorus pig iron is emptied, the furnace walls cool rapidly, causing cracks. After shutdown, the furnace opening is insulated by covering it with asbestos sheets. After the last batch of phosphorus pig iron is poured out, any remaining molten iron should be drained and stored outside to prevent it from cooling inside the furnace. Simultaneously, the cooling water supply to the melting furnace is reduced to slow the cooling rate and prevent cracks.
