The magnetic yoke of a medium-frequency induction melting furnace is primarily constructed from stacked cold-rolled silicon steel sheets. As a critical component within the furnace body, its functions encompass electromagnetic field control, mechanical support, and system optimization.

1. The core function of the magnetic yoke is magnetic shielding and leakage flux containment.  By forming a closed path with high-permeability materials, it constrains the leakage magnetic field generated by the induction coil from spreading outwards, concentrating the magnetic field lines towards the molten pool area. This reduces no-load losses and improves heating efficiency.  Simultaneously, it prevents leakage flux from acting on the furnace's metal components (such as the furnace shell), preventing abnormal heating and providing electromagnetic shielding and safety protection.

2. Mechanically, the magnetic yoke supports and fixes the induction coil. Its crescent-shaped arc design closely fits the outer wall of the induction coil, providing radial support to enhance overall rigidity, reduce electromagnetic vibration and noise during operation, and prevent deformation of the induction coil due to thermal expansion or tilting of the furnace.

3. To ensure efficient operation, the magnetic yoke often integrates a water-cooling system.  Circulating cooling maintains the magnetic yoke at a low temperature, preventing material deformation or performance degradation due to high temperatures, while optimizing magnetic circuit conductivity and reducing energy loss.
