Maintenance measures after shutdown of medium frequency furnace

The medium frequency furnace needs to be shut down intermittently during normal production. Maintenance during the shutdown process is one of the factors that have an important impact on the life of the furnace. When the phosphorus pig iron is emptied, the furnace wall will crack due to rapid cooling. If the remaining phosphorus pig iron is not emptied, the remaining molten iron in the furnace is in a close combination with the furnace lining. During the cooling process, the difference in thermal expansion and contraction will cause cracks in the lining, and the lining will be damaged again during the heating process. Therefore, after the furnace is shut down, the furnace mouth is insulated by covering it with asbestos boards. After the last batch of phosphorus pig iron is poured out, the remaining unused molten iron in the medium frequency furnace should be discharged and stored to avoid cooling in the furnace. At the same time, reduce the cooling water supply of the medium frequency furnace, slow down the cooling speed, and avoid cracks.
