Magnetic yoke usually refers to a soft magnetic material that does not produce a magnetic field (magnetic lines of force) itself and only transmits magnetic lines of force in the magnetic circuit. The yoke is generally made of soft iron, A3 steel and soft magnetic alloy with relatively high magnetic permeability. In some special occasions, the yoke is also made of ferrite materials.
